Leanne currently teaches gentle styles of alignment based Hatha yoga and Chair yoga as well as Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra practices. She received her 200-hour certification in 2012 and 500-hour certification in 2016, both from Etowah Valley Yoga near Atlanta, GA. She enjoys sharing yoga with children and adults, of all ages. Leanne continues to study various aspects of yoga for a variety of physical conditions such as osteoporosis, and mental conditions such as anxiety and depression, through books, classes, and workshops.
Leanne has a passion for the gentle and restorative aspects of yoga based on the recognition that ‘life can be challenging’ and that gentle practices can help relieve the physiological, emotional and mental effects of those challenges. She has lead several women’s retreats focusing on self-care and restorative practices and looks forward to facilitating more in the future.
Leanne is also a singer/songwriter. Her lyrics contain messages of personal growth and emotional healing. Leanne’s love of music began as a result of her exposure to dance, which she was fortunate to study from age 4 to beyond college. She also taught dance, primarily to children, for over 20 years.
Leanne currently resides in Fort Collins, CO and LOVES the nature Colorado provides. Her three wonderful children are healthy, generous, thriving young adults.
