Talia found yoga with the help of one of her favorite teachers while attending high school in her hometown of Colorado Springs, CO. She later moved to Vancouver, BC to pursue a BA in English and German, and after spontaneously ending up at a yoga retreat in Spain, made her way more formally to a regular asana practice.
When she moved back to Colorado in May 2018, she found Holistic Yoga School’s teacher training program and felt inspired to attend. She is now honoured to be teaching at her yogic alma mater, and hopes to contribute widely to HYS’s community through her passions for asana, Ayurveda, and literacy.
Yoga has brought Talia peace through hardship and trauma, stability in the midst of turmoil, and a home to return to when feeling lost. A fierce advocate of social justice and feminism, she constantly strives to avoid spiritual bypassing in her yoga practice, and seeks to maintain authentic connections with her community, her peers, and her Self. In her spare time, you will find Talia with her rescued pony Scarlett, her rescued cat Cinder, or any one of her many rescued books.
