Holistic Yoga draws insights and gifts from the ancient traditions that have contributed to yoga as a natural health and wellness system.
While distinctive and contemporary, our teacher training classes are strongly rooted in the great yoga teachings and literature that have been handed down through the generations. Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras serve as a philosophical backbone as we merge ancient wisdom with modern style and translation. We draw on many worldly traditions and natural health practices, including the philosophy and language of Sanskrit, and the science of Ayurveda.
An overall yogic lifestyle is emphasized, including diet, sustainability, mental attitude, and more! Selfless service and community support are woven into our programs, as we recognize the importance of cultural involvement and service. The quality education we provide will help you reach a higher level of self-awareness, compassion and community service.
The Yoga Asana and Art of Teaching emphasizes both energetic and physical alignment. Participants will learn to guide All-Levels Hatha, Vinyasa, Gentle/Restorative and Specialty Classes. In a moving meditation we build strength and endurance while at the same time creating a sense of calm and quiet. In this manner, yoga practice becomes an exquisite integration of breath, balance, strength, endurance, natural health and meditation.
Build community, while nurturing your mind, body and soul.
The comparative teaching approach exposes participants to many different methods and traditions so that they may each find their own unique style. Yoga in the Marketplace provides suggestions, information, and follow-up resources about the growing industry of yoga.
