Teacher Training for Kids Yoga
For those interested in teaching yoga & mindfulness to preschool - elementary students
Oct. 27-29, 2023 (Friday - Sunday)
The CALMING KIDS Pre-school through Elementary age curriculum is easy to implement in any classroom, studio, youth center or clinical setting. This workshop will be interactive with practical strategies to teach children how to observe, describe, understand, and participate in a more effective way with their strong emotions. You will learn to teach students to use their breath and the movement of their own bodies to feel better and then interact with others with more peace and ease.
The program focuses on developing physical awareness, concentration, relaxation, joy, and inner calm. The techniques that are presented are easy exercises to loosen the body, mindfulness for concentration, relaxation techniques, yoga games, teamwork activities, and fundamental breathing lessons for centering. Age-appropriate presentations of the lessons are crafted for teachers to instruct students, as well as, how these tools can support the adult teacher.

Children’s Yoga Teacher Certification is available for those who teach the Calming Kids Curriculum for 6 classes, journal the experience and then work with a mentor.

Wilder-Nest Retreats is a private 100-acre ranch in Northwest Loveland. It’s a special place that serves as a sanctuary away from the demands and stimulation of daily life. Above all, it’s as a home for learning, personal development, and a thriving community where you’re invited to pioneer a new relationship with yourself and the natural world.
The indoor yoga room provides a comfortable space for up to ten in-person participants. We host many of our classes outdoors on the beautiful property when the weather permits.
