Holistic Yoga School Policies For All RYT-200 & RYT-300 Teacher Training Participants
By enrolling in a Holistic Yoga School & Studio Program all participants agree to the Policies outlined below. Each participant has also acknowledged their understanding as a part of the Application & Registration Process.
Holiday Closures (no TTC classes on the following days): Labor Day Weekend, Halloween Evening, Thanksgiving (Weds – Fri), Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Easter, Memorial Day Weekend
Due to small group sizes, our teacher trainings often book out many months in advance with waiting lists. For this reason, a 45-day cancelation notice before the first class date is required to receive a tuition refund less the $450 deposit. For cancellations with less than 45 days’ notice, we will attempt to fill your spot in the course, and if so, then you will be refunded less the deposit. For cancellations with less than 45-day notice, if we cannot fill your spot in the training, then no refund will be issued.
If training needs to be canceled by HYS then all registered participants will have the option to receive a refund or transfer enrollment into another training. Credit card (3.5%) and bank transfer (1%) fees will be retained from your refund.
A participant may elect to withdraw their enrollment from the teacher training at any time. No refunds will be provided.
HYS will follow suit and switch our TTC classes to virtual-only whenever the local school district cancels their classes. For evening and weekend programs, we will try to follow nearby college campus closures, or use our own discretion. If we incur snow day cancellations then additional training hours may need to be scheduled with the group.
When enrolling in a teacher training program, participants should plan to attend each full day and every class, except in the case of illness/emergency or if planned absences are approved and arranged in advance. Makeup work will be provided, and in some instances, additional classes or private instruction may be required for course completion and certification. Additional fees may apply.
Although discouraged unless necessary, a planned absence can be arranged in advance. Class recordings and assessments will be provided and need to be completed promptly.
Please let us know that you will not be able to attend class by either emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 970-412-4114. Make-up work will be given to be completed on time.
Participants are considered tardy if they are not set up and ready for class to begin at the scheduled start time. All participants are required to be on time for their teacher training classes. We understand that occasional tardiness may occur, so please let us know if you’re running late by texting 970-412-4114.
A $35 late fee will be applied for any incomplete or late payment. A participant on a payment plan who incurs more than two late payments may be terminated from the teacher training program. Any remaining balance owed will be billed at that time, due one month from the invoice date.
Termination from TTC:
This may occur due to any of the following:
- Multiple tardies, late cancellations, or no-shows
- Multiple late payments
- Inappropriate behavior/classroom etiquette
- Coming to class under the influence of substances
- Lack of participation in classes or failure to complete program requirements or assignments
- Too many absences/failure to complete assigned make-up work for absences
- Breach of “Yoga’s Code of Conduct” as described at the beginning of the TTC manual
In the event of TTC Termination, no refunds will be issued, and when applicable, the participant will still be required to pay any remaining balance owed.
