Holistic Yoga School & Studio Policies For All RYT-200 Living Yoga Immersion Teacher Certification Program Participants:
By enrolling in a Holistic Yoga School & Studio Program all participants agree to the Policies outlined below. Each participant has also acknowledged their understanding as a part of the Application & Registration Process.
All TTC participants are required to register in advance for any classes and workshops.
Student Cancellation Policies
Electives / Exploratory Classes (participant choice from the weekly schedule): Pre-register for these classes as far in advance as possible. Any cancellations must occur at least 24-hours prior to the start of class. Cancellations can be completed online from your mind-body scheduler. The space will be immediately offered to someone on the waiting list. Each teacher training participant may late-cancel from an Elective once (1 time) without incurring any fee. Any further instances of late-cancellations from Electives will automatically result in your card on-file being charged full-price (drop-in rate) for the class, although it will not count toward your progress in the teacher training requirements.
Module Format Cancellation Policy:
When enrolling in a module or retreat, participants must plan to attend each full day and every class of that workshop series, except in the case of illness/emergency or if planned absences are approved and arranged in advance.
Although highly discouraged to miss TTC module classes, a planned absence can be arranged in advance if needed. If approved, make-up work will be provided to be completed in a timely manner. See Make-up work section. Additional fees for group classes and/or private instruction may apply.

If a participant needs to cancel out of a full retreat or module it must be completed at least one week (7 days) prior to the start date. Cancellations can be completed online from the mind body scheduler. The space will be immediately offered to someone on the waiting list.
For any late-cancellation or no-show, the participant will be charged the full price although the missed class(es) will not be applied toward credit in the certification program.
A participant may elect to early-withdrawal their enrollment in the module-format teacher training at any time. No refunds will be provided regardless of the reason for withdrawing.
MAXIMUM COMPLETION TIME
Maximum completion time for Module Format TTC is 1.5 years from the date of Welcome Meeting. For any participant who fails to complete the full training requirements within 1.5 years, their enrollment will be withdrawn from the teacher training course at that time. Any such individual will be required to start over and re-take the entire training if they still wish to pursue the 200-hour certification. No refunds will be issued and the participant will be required to pay full price to attend the training again if desired.
26-Day Intensive Format Cancellation Policy:
Full payment for the 26-day intensive course must be received in a timely manner within the requirements outlined on the HYS website.
For any cancellations from the program at least 30-days prior to it’s start date, any payments received will be refunded less the $450 deposit. For cancellations which occur less than 30-days prior to the program start date, no refund will be issued.
In order to continue to progress in the teacher training program when classes are missed, participants must reach out to the HYS office to receive makeup assignments which may include homework assignments, attending other group classes ($10 – $15 per hour depending on the class), or private sessions ($60 per hour). Any private training will be scheduled with the HYS office based on teacher & student availability. All makeup work must be completed in a timely manner to stay on-track with the rest of the group. Please note, private instruction ($60 per hour) will always be required of students who are absent from any portion of Art of Teaching.
It is the sole discretion of the HYS office to determine how makeup work shall be completed (i.e. at-home assignments, attendance at other classes, and/or private instruction).
If makeup work needs to be arranged due to missed classes more than 3 occurrences, then there will be a $60 admin fee for processing.
Tardiness (applies to all classes):
All TTC Participants are required to arrive to the studio at least 5 minutes prior to the start time of class, and to be set-up in the classroom and ready to begin at the scheduled start time.
A participant is considered tardy if they are not set-up and ready for class to begin at the scheduled start time.
Doors may be locked at the time that class is scheduled to begin. If any TTC participant is unable to attend class due to arriving late then they will be required to make-up any missed material as outlined in these policies.
A $35 late fee will be applied for any incomplete or late payment. Any participant on a payment plan who misses more than one payment will be immediately terminated from the teacher training program. Any remaining balance owed will be billed at that time, due one month from the invoice date.
Termination from TTC:
May occur due to any of the following:
- Failure to complete program requirements
- Multiple tardies, late-cancellations or no-shows
- 2 (two) late / missed payments
- Inappropriate behavior / classroom etiquette
- Coming to class under the influence of substances
- Lack of participation in classes or assigned makeup work
- Breach of “Yoga’s Code of Conduct” as described in the beginning of the TTC manual
- Lack of timely completion (maximum 1.5 years from date of welcome meeting)
No refunds will be issued, and when applicable the participant will still be required to pay any remaining balance owed. Participants may request to re-enroll in the training program at a later date (at least six (6) months after termination). A formal request letter to the HYS office is required as the first step for requesting re-enrollment. Please explain how your situation has changed so that you are now able to make the necessary commitment to the program. It is the sole discretion of the HYS office whether or not to allow a participant to re-enroll. Part of the re-enrollment agreement may include re-taking all or part of the training. Additional fees will apply for re-enrollment.
