Nurture Through Nature ~ A Spring Equinox Yoga Retreat
March 19 - 22, 2023 at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala
"True beauty is a ray that springs from the sacred depths of the soul." ~ Rumi
Join us in paradise, at the beautiful Casa CobAnanda, a private property nestled on an avocado grove with beautiful views of Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. You’ll experience rich Mayan culture, sustainable lifestyles, and a vibrant Yoga community.
Awaken and cleanse your body, mind, and spirit as we step into the beauty of a new season. Spring is a time to shed the darker, sometimes heavy energy accumulated during winter, and for gradually “lightening up.”
In this retreat, we’ll focus on invigorating the body’s detoxification processes and bringing in warmth to nurture seeds of renewal. Together we’ll explore practices to help set a clear intention for the coming season, to support release where it is needed, and offer space for healing and abundance.
The retreat will include daily meditation, yoga, and mantra chanting. As well, we’ll receive a Sweat Lodge, Cacao Ceremony, and group meditation walk to the lake.
Please click here for more info about traveling to the Retreat Center. At Holistic Yoga School we’re familiar with traveling to Guatemala and are happy to help answer any questions that you may have, so please feel free to contact us directly. We can also help you arrange a private car from the Guatemala City Airport directly to the retreat center (~3.5-hour trip // $100 paid directly to the driver).
Covid-19 Requirements: Please check the US Embassy in Guatemala’s website for the most recently updated vaccination and testing requirements: https://gt.usembassy.gov/alert-covid-19-2/

Casa Cobananda, Tsununa, Lake Atitlan
Casa CobAnanda is a regenerative project meant to nurture the land, strengthen the local community and create a space conducive to healing and celebration.
More info about the location and travel tips can be found here: puravidya.com/cobananda.html#gettinghere. We recommend making it at least a week’s vacation and taking some time before or after the retreat to explore Lake Atitlan.
For additional nights of housing before the retreat starts, we recommend the Kula Maya Hotel and Spa, which is about 20 min from the retreat center and we can help arrange transportation. When making your reservation, use promo-code KMLOVE for 10% off, and please mention that you’re traveling with HYS!
If you want to explore farther around the lake, then we recommend staying at the Villa Sumaya (Santa Cruz) or the Mystical Yoga Farm (near Santiago).
