Local Artist Spotlight: Diana Dellos

October 13, 2016 by Krista Davis Leave a Comment

Have you noticed the beauty of nature lately? It’s as though the earth is her canvas and the leaves her brush strokes. We are fortunate to be surrounded by nature here in Northern Colorado. But the beauty doesn’t end there. Fort Collins is a creative hub, attracting talented artists of every genre. Holistic Yoga School is honored to spotlight the work of Diana Dellos in our Yoga Studio as our current artist. Here vibrant work caught our eye this summer at the Breathe Yoga Festival in City Park, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to currently host her exhibit on our walls. Stop in for a yoga or meditation class and be sure to check out her lovely work. Here’s a little more about Diana in her own words.

"Namaste"
“Namaste”

Diana Dellos is an acrylic and mixed media artist who specializes in bright colors, texture, and layers. She is influenced by patterns, colors, and nature. Diana is a self-taught artist that continually tries new things and pushes the envelope. A former speech-language pathologist, she blends her love of helping others with her passion for art through creative expression workshops. She values the freedom of abstract work and enjoys letting the painting process develop organically. Originally from WY, Diana attended UNC in Greeley, CO and moved to NE, MO, and VA with her family. They missed CO and relocated to Ft. Collins in 2015. She runs her home studio and online business with support from her husband of 22 yrs, and is the mother of three teenagers (one a US Marine), 1 adopted pitbull mix, and 1 tabby cat. “I believe all people are creative, in one way or another. My goal is to facilitate workshops & retreats that assists people in their creative process. I want us to remember what it feels like to play with reckless abandonment, get our hands messy, and dance to the music.”
