A Quiet Reflection

August 26, 2016 by Krista Davis 3 Comments

MEDITATIONI embarked on a journey to Shambhala today.  On my descent, I was filled with bliss but also tired from little sleep and the past month of learning a lot. Putting my recent newly found knowledge to use, I touched the stillness. Arriving at the beautiful place of Shambhala, I could sense the sacred. Walking to the temple, I could feel the beautiful vibrations. I felt honored to be stepping foot on this sacred ground. As I continued my path, there were places of giving. I wrote a note of the love we are and how everything we are is all contained within us. I gave my words, for I didn’t have possessions to give. I reached the temple and admired the beauty. Everything about it was breathtaking. I found a seat and rooted down. I worked through my chakras and had my focus on “Om Tat Sat.” (It is what it is.) The only thought that would pass through my stillness was thankfulness to be meditating at this amazing place. After 30 minutes of meditation and chanting OM, I went to explore. I connected with the nature and sat with it for a bit. I began to find my way back to my car and enjoyed the sights of my new favorite place. I will come back here and touch the bliss and stillness I felt today.

Shambhala Mountain Center and the Stupa is such a magical place! Inside the Stupa is the most quiet place I have ever been, perfect for meditation. I feel that the community there and the sacred energy of the Stupa pours love and light down the valley, showering over and protecting us here in Fort Collins.
