Jaebird Adventures: A 30 Year Release

August 17, 2016 by Krista Davis 2 Comments

a3bb45ab6e1f40475091f2155a395321The full moon is upon us. The first since I have turned 30.

Full moons are a beautiful time to release what no longer serves us. To release our anger, fear and doubt. To release old habits, problems and issues. To clean ourselves out in order to begin anew for the things we truly want to manifest in our lives.

With 30 years now behind me, I use this moon to release all the baggage I have brought with me to this point. There have been some big life lessons I have learned, in particular when looking at this last decade. The 20’s are an amazing time, but for me they also brought a lot of struggle, heartache, depression, anger and loss. I have faced some truly challenging times in my life over the past 10 years, but as I begin to release much of that old energy into the night I also cannot help to feel gratitude as well. I know that through my ups and downs I able to find my strength, my passion and my resolve to stand for the good in the world, to fight for something better.

So with every tear I cried yesterday, I happily let it all go today because it has made me who I am.

The moon, full of light will now begin to retract and lose it’s glow. Every night as the light diminishes so will the energy we wish to be releasing from ourselves. During this time I light a candle and offer thanksgiving for all the beautiful things I have around me. I will write out my intentions of what it is I wish to be letting go of. Of my doubt and worry, of my sadness and fear. When I find the courage and willingness to change, I safely set my intention on fire and release it into the night. I let it all go so that I can be ready for what is yet to come. To open my mind body and soul for the lessons of the next day.

I hope that you too can find some time to take for yourself during this moon phase. To get back to the center of your true being, so that you too can let go of those layers you no longer need. Our best potentials wait for us, breath in deep and let it all go.

There is no better time than the present to begin again.

And know that as I look at that moon from my part of the world, I am sending you all my love.

-Jaebird
