Peaceful Well Being – A Mountain Retreat

August 13, 2016 by Krista Davis Leave a Comment

What better setting to explore the idea of Peaceful Well Being than a secluded mountain retreat center. The environment began the journey to explore holistic health and application to our normally very busy world.
What really is Holistic Health? Is it attainable by anyone? It is possible to live it each day? Can Holistic Health be the essence of our being?
I believe the answer to all of these questions is definitely yes!

To explore the true essence of Holistic Health as it relates to the concept of achieving a state of peaceful well being, we began on our yoga mat with a simple blindfolded asana. This practice allowed us to begin to open up to trusting our inner guru for guidance.

We continued our journey with exploring topics of holism practices, mental health and how our meditation, pranayama and asana practice can create the feelings of peaceful well being.
We allowed ourselves to experience the opening and cleansing of our Chakras, our energy centers, which in turn supported us on our journey toward experiencing a feeling of balance and health.

Taking the time to completely dedicate our attention to ourselves enables us to heal and grow in mind, body, spirit and emotionally. When we allow for this time, we may discover we needed this special attention as perhaps we had been covering it up with our busy lives. Diving deep into our true being during this time of exploration and reflection is holistic health at its finest.

As the time of the retreat ended, the experience will live on forever in our hearts.
We closed our retreat, and returned to our world a little more open, a little more alive, a little more peaceful.

Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti,
Namaste,
Liz
