When did you first know that Yoga was your calling and how did it come about?
I was always passionate about natural healing modalities and helping people discover how to utilize them in daily life to help support overall wellness. When I went to my first Yoga Immersion, a 21-day intensive, I was overwhelmed by observing the profound transformations in myself and the others in my training group. We were all considerably more joyful and healthy at the end of the program. At that time, I knew I wanted to share Yoga with others as a form of helping. What I love about it is that you need nothing except yourself to practice yoga. You don’t have to take a pill, buy fancy equipment, or invest a lot of money to enjoy Yoga. I’m called to share Yoga because it is a natural health tool accessible to everyone at any moment. Sharing Yoga with others is my way of helping and giving back to the communities around me.
What is Holistic Yoga?
The Holistic Yoga teaching style draws from various traditions and ancient wisdom, delivered with contemporary style and translation. Our focus is on practicing yoga as an instrument to reveal a greater sense of health awareness, harmony, and serenity and encouraging our students to explore and embrace the practice as a part of daily life. While our delivery is contemporary, our approach is firmly rooted in the philosophical teachings handed down through generations.
